I hate that I haven’t blogged in what seems like forever. But things have been a little hectic around here for the last two weeks. I went in for a mammo and they found a lump in my right breast. A week later they wanted me to get an MRI just to be sure that they weren’t missing anything. And OF COURSE they found another lump in my left breast during this MRI. I had both lumps biopsied yesterday and will have the results tomorrow. This has been all consuming and I just haven’t felt like blogging. But I wanted to let you guys in on what was going on. I’m sad, confused, a little bitter and ready to put together a plan to tackle whatever is going on in my boobs.
Till then…
Naturally yours, Dallas

I will say a prayer for you! I hope all goes well. I was not aware that we should get mammo’s yet, but I am assuming that is the case??????

I got my first mammo at 30. But I have a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer. My obgyn recommended against it but I felt it was something that I needed to get done. My first one came back clear so I didn’t need to get another until 35. I have always done self exams and the two lumps that were found via the MRI, I never picked up on. Fortunately these two lumps were benign but my breast health is now my focus. These last two weeks were a nightmare and although I’m in the clear for now, my family history may come back to haunt me. I’m going to start dedicating a large portion of my blog to spreading the word on breast health and early mammograms. Stay tuned!
