Ok – now for the good stuff!  I have some info to share about what I have been told about the swine flu or as the docs on TV like to refer to it as, H1N1.

I am not going to reveal my sources so please do not ask.  And this info should be thrown into your already growing pool of info because you are all doing your own research…right?

Here are some things I have learned about this flu and its vaccine.  Now you may or may not already know this but if you feel you have something you want to share…comment on this page and I will post.  If you are going to be shitty and mean- go someplace else.  Like per say, the Gosselins Without Pity site.  Those two crazy bitches deserve it.  Those poor kids!  Money will make you do some crazy shit, right?

Anyways – on to the good stuff!

1)  The current H1N1 vaccine has not been tested on anyone.  The US Gov tried to take it down to Mexico to  run their vaccine studies and the Mexican Gov said “HELL TO THE NO”.   So, we get to be the Governments test rats.   Or you can be a test rat cuz unless Obama shows up on my doorstep with a M16 and a court order – NO ONE is going to vax me or my family with that crazy mess.

2) Everybody in the medical profession I have talked to has said that they will absolutely NOT vax themselves or their kids with the H1N1 vax.  Why not, you ask?   Because there has not been enough (or any for that matter) studies done on this vaccine to determine its side effects.  Even though Doc Nancy on the Today Show said, with the craziest look on her face she could muster, “This vaccine is 100% safe.”   How could she know this if the vaccine has not been tested and we have no idea how this is all going to play out?  You guys know how I feel about her.  Man, I can’t stand her.  And it seems like this is  all she talks about lately – its every single day it seems.  Enough already!!!  Don’t you have a botox party to get to or something!  Geesh.

3)  Apparently there are Docs out there who are profiting on getting people to sign up for the H1N1 trial.  YEP!!!!  Pashawwwwwww?!  I know…my panties are all knotted up too!  I guess I can believe that our Government is PAYING health care experts to recruit Americans to be a part of a vaccine trial study..and it’s big bucks too from what I am hearing.  Something like 5K per person.  Yep, 5K is all we are worth to the government when it comes down to our health or even our lives.  Plus, how many of these participants have health insurance?  And what if they get really sick from the vaccine and they don’t have health care?  Who pays for their care?  What if they die? What happens then?  And I wonder how  thorough the screening process is? Raise your hand if you think a doctor could be blinded by the shine of 5K and not complete a thorough screening to be sure the person signing up for this trial is really qualified?   What are the odds that a doctors office that has multiple locations, has a waiting list a mile long for new patients and is under staffed due to budget cuts will actually take the time to complete a thorough screening of possible participants in the H1N1 vaccine study?  I know, I know…getting side tracked.  But you have to admit these are all valid questions.

And the icing on the cake…here is it.  So if you have noticed, flu shots are being pushed super hard early in the season.  Some people I know got flu shots back in September and well,  your shot is only good for four months. Which  means come February (flu season at it’s peak) you will no longer be covered by the flu vax you got in September.  Guess whacha gonna do?  You gonna go back to your doc in January and you gonna get a booster baby!  So now you’ve paid for TWO flu shots!  And my guess is that you’re going to get the flu too.  I know of three people this season that have gotten the flu and they are all sick as dogs.  Risk it if you want.  I’m going to save myself the money from the vaccines and invest in hand sanitizer, masks and pounds of kale.  Hopefully my plan will work and I will make it through another flu season unscathed.  If I do end up with the flu (which is likely now that Nugget is in preschool), I’ll be sure to blog about it so you can all tell me what an idiot I was for not getting the flu shot.

So the bottom line for us is this…we are not getting the seasonal flu vax or the H1N1 vax.  Because from what I’ve been told by med professionals I actually admire and trust…unless you are 100 years old, have a compromised immune system, are an infant or prego…one flu virus is no worse than the other.  But to cover my ass, remember I am not a medical professional nor am I giving out medical advice.  If you get your medical advice from some crazy bitch’s blog who writes about everything from breastfeeding, to product reviews, recipes and the duration of her menstrual cycles…then maybe a bout of the flu is what your need to straighten your dumbass out.  DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.  TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.  TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS.  GET THE FACTS AND THEN DECIDE ON THE VAX.
